It started raining last night when we were eating our meal and it rained all night and was still when we woke this morning so we stayed on bed reading our books. By 11am we thought we should get our act together and get out as it sounded like the rain was going to stop but was still very overcast. Worked out a walk we could do using the free bus service so made up a picnic lunch and got on the 12.45 bus outside the campsite for a 45 mins bus ride to Iseltwald on The Brienz Lake. Beautiful little village even I said I could live in! We walked along the amazing turquoise blue coloured huge lake of Brienz and through forests with autumnal coloured leaves. Even though the sun wasn't shining the colours and scenery were stunning. As it had rained all night it was a bit slippery under foot on the rocks and fallen leaves and we had forgot to take our walking sticks! It was a 2 hour walk to Giessbach falls where there was a lovely boat we could've got back to Iseltwald but was over $30 for a 10min boat trip so decided it was such a lovely walk that we would walk back too. Which we did after our picnic lunch overlooking the lake next to the waterfall. Got the return bus back and not only was it free but turned out it had free WiFi - bonus! Got back to Priscilla about 7pm so we still managed to fit a lot in even though we started out late. Rain forecast for tomorrow so have bought some laundry tokens and internet time.
