The Old School House to Chapelthorne Farm

A beautiful walk through Childwick to St Albans

Pretty impressed with the brickwork on the chimney 



Got chatting with a lady walking 6 dogs

Had a beer when we got to St Albans-much needed

Did some shopping and David got some much needed new walking boots. Got the train back. Had a lovely evening with Mike and Liz’s girls who were off to Estonia for the weekend-£29 each return!!!

While Emma was in Estonia for the weekend David and I went to their new house and installed a much needed new gate. They have a very strange neighbour who keeps walking around the back of the house!

Had a great evening and a few bottles of red! It was a short visit but we will be back to help with a few jobs. Ali came in the morning and drove us to her sisters farm in Speyton Devon. Couldn’t believe what a great picnic Jude had prepared for us for the drive. . 

Chapelthorne Farm Speyton Devon. Alison’s sister Sue and husband Peter are off to Arizona for 10days. So we are helping Ali look after 5 horses 6 sheep 2 dogs and 2 cats. 

What a magnificent place! Peter’s new office on the left. 

Lots of stables and we cannot believe how much work is involved in looking after all these animals.

The Farrier arrived to shoe 3 of the horses . It seemed hard work on his back. 

Hot shoeing was very interesting to watch

Watched the builders put up this wallpaper in Peter’s new office. Looks fabulous.

Took the Landrover to the local garage for its MOT. This was an experience going around the country lanes!

On the walk back we could see the weather coming in fast.

Yes we even got some snow.

Shopping at a farm shop. Jo got some new walking pants and a top. 

Took the dogs to Fatherford woods for a wonderful walk.
