Last day in Aranjuez

Thurs 27th March 2014
It was -4 degrees in the night so we stayed under the covers in our "cloud" and read our books until about 9.30! It was heaven. Showered then made leek soup. Spent most of the day doing jobs and researching where to go next as we now have dates from our friends Mike and Liz from Harpenden UK , they are flying to Malaga on 6th April for a week so we will meet up with them there. We also did some research on Helpx and Workaway web sites to see where we fancy helping out. We have paid e15 for a weeks internet on this campsite so it has been great. We have even been watching UK TV (not Eastenders!) Walked to meet our new friend we met at the flamenco school the other night - Maria. Spent the evening having beers and tapas and met more of the locals who all seemed keen to responded to our questions and show us their dancing and musical talents. Even met a Japanese lady who had been in Spain for the last 20 years and was now a Flamenco teacher!! We watched her dancing with a lone guitarist and singer - it was performed with so much passion. We were made to feel so at home and they wanted us to stay until Saturday night for a performance with drinks and homemade cooking but as we will not be here we have promised to come back. We thought we were just in a local bar but it turned out to be a private club !  A wonderful end to a great week in Aranjuez. Off south in the morning to find some warmth!
