We were all up at 6am as
Jane had very kindly offered to take us to Girona Airport for Jess to get her
Ryan Air flight to Luton Airport (her trip starts in London on Thursday). We
were glad we hadn’t driven as it wasn’t straight forward at all. It was very
sad and emotional saying goodbye to our wonderful daughter as we are not sure
when we will see her again! But knowing Jess, as soon as she has finished this
trip she will be planning her next one as soon as she is home! So hopefully we
will see her again soon. On the way back Jane dropped David and I off at the
bottom of the mountain with the Castell de Montgri on top in the town of
Torroella de Montgri. What a spectacular walk it was to the top. It was quite
tough but very rewarding as the views were wonderful again and the sun was
sunning. At the time Jess’s plane would have been taking off we looked into the
sky from the mountain top and waved her goodbye (I cried again!). We had a
picnic at the top and stayed up there for a while before heading back down into
the town below for a much earned beer in the town square. Jane picked us up as she
had had to take Laura to the doctors in this town. Back at the apartment we
read our books in the sun and both fell asleep! A lovely turkey roast meal
cooked by Laura was enjoyed in the evening in their apartment.
