Orgiva - Sun

Sunday 15th June 2014
Had a good night’s sleep after a late night. Slow start to the day, not many people on this campsite, despite a good location. Jo did some hand washing after she had removed the bugs from the sink. Read our books for quite a while, before we decided to get some exercise and have a short walk. Walked down to the river and along before heading up into Orgiva. There were some lovely looking homes along the way a few owned by British people but also some pretty run down ones too. As we walked into the town there were a lot of hippy/down and out type of people having a party come gathering (I’m sure they were very nice people Hetty, mustn’t judge eh!!!) there seems to be a lot of this type of alternative people around this area, and the town itself seemed very run down and a bit neglected, with more graffiti than we had seen in other smaller towns in Spain. In fact it was the first place that we had been to that had an unwelcoming feel to it, which was a shame as the scenery is lovely and the campsite was great. Past a lot of fig, lemon and pomegranate trees on our walk and managed to snare a couple of free lemons for the vodka and tonics .Back at the campsite after our 2hrs walk we had a bbq and then put our tent up for the first time, just to see how easy it was, well not as easy as we thought as no instructions, so a look on the website solved that and yes it is very simple once you know how. Can’t wait to use it now, but don’t know when, if it gets too hot to walk long distance, we will see. Finished off the night with a couple more episodes of Breaking Bad. Will set off in the morning for the coast for a few days before our return to the hotel.
Bugs in the sink on the campsite!

Jo The Spanish Washer Woman!

What do we look like!

Out the front of the Camping Orgiva campsite.

On our walk we saw Pomegranate trees - Did you know that the word Pomegranate in Spanish is "Granada" and that's  where the word grenade comes from because a Pomegranate looks like a grenade!!!!!!!!

We walked along the river

Lots of "lovely" properties for sale!!!!

Trying not to get lost!

Stopped for a banana.

Honest! We didn't pick the lemons - they had fallen.

We passed some nice properties too.

Then we arrived in the town! It wasn't the best place we have been!

Yeh! Lovely place!

Spanish sausages pork and salad for dinner.

Not as easy as it looks!

Testing testing
