Day. 48 Hotel- Saturday - Malaga

Sat 31st May 2014

Judy & Andy had a lunchtime flight back to Glasgow and as we had no guests arriving until Sunday Alan suggested that we take them to Malaga Airport, that way the four of us could have a day out. Alan's car can hold 7 people by the way (handy).
Saying goodbye at Malaga Airport and of course we have another invite - so maybe Glasgow see you soon!!!

Great shop - Zara. They have them all over the world but not in Australia. There is also a Zara Home. We were very good and did not buy anything.

We drove along the front of Malaga to the old part of town, David & I are very surprised with Malaga itself as it is not touristy at all.

The market for the locals next to the beach.

I got new knickers - 1 euro a pair and a new bra 3 euros!

David & Alan got a bit fed up as Hetty & I kept stopping at every stall!

As it was the weekend and a very hot day the beaches were full - all Spanish with their families.

We stopped at one of the many beach side cafes and enjoyed different fish dishes and a few beers.

Calamari Squid Octopus and yes would you believe it Anchovies (they were not salted but fried and were delicious) you would have loved them all Mum!!!!!!!!!

We sat there for a long time enjoying watching the world go by.

As we walked back into town we came across a bride so we decided to follow.

We followed her to a beautiful church and it was a Spanish bride marrying an English man.

We went in another nice shop clled DayaDay and Hetty & Alan bought me this beautiful necklace.

We went in the oldest cafe/bar/restaurant in Malaga called El Pimpi

In El Pimpi on the walls were many photographs of famous people and signatures on these wine barrels. We then drove home and watched the movie The Butler - very good.
