Off to Orgiva - Sat

Sat 14th June 2014

Our niece Bec in Australia is having her engagement to James party today - shame we've had no internet up in the mountains! Good luck to you both xxxxx
Got up and on the move as beings it was a Saturday the car park started filling up with loads of people ( all ages) going off walking for the day (or overnight as some had bed rolls on their back packs). Drove back down the mountain and headed towards Orgiva.
Just past Lanjaron we found a Dia supermarket so parked up and did a big shop. We then arrived at Camping Orgiva and set up camp. First thing we did was quickly got on the internet and had a great Skype to home as the engagement party was in full swing. All the family were there and it was fantastic to see them all. Congratulations Bec and James. This site is in the La Alpujarras region and still in the Sierra Nevada mountains but no snow here- too hot about 30 degrees today. Lazy afternoon catching up on the blog and did some washing! Large swimming pool here and it is full! Very small campsite so think the locals use it. Bit later on when the pool emptied we had a much needed swim. Ate outside fish in the webber with salad then watched more Breaking Bad episodes sitting under our awning (still very hot at 11pm). David walked to the campsite bar to hopefully watch the World Cup but no the bar had shut! At Midnight David was able to watch England lose on the laptop.
The car park started filling up with weekend hikers. It really is the perfect spot for it.

Lanjaron. Famous for it's bottled water.

The supermarket - Dia. In Orgiva. Yes David loves shopping.
