Rained all night but had
another great sleep. Woke to glorious sun shine so David played in the garage
while I went over to the on-site laundry (£3.50 per load and £2.50 to dry).
Moved Priscilla to a different pitch as the site is full up! Still looking for
somewhere to stay for the next few days as you are not allowed to Wild Camp in
The New Forest. Made up a picnic and set off into the Forest for a walk. It was
lovely to see all the wild ponies roaming free all over the place. It was a
lovely walk but very wet under foot. Came back to the site and talked to a
resident who gave us a history of Sandy Balls - has been owned by the same
family since 1910. Back for a cup of tea and David had the first experience of
emptying our cassette toilet which wasn’t as bad or as smelly as he thought it
would be (cause you know what he is like about pooh!) I am quite pleased he did
it first as now he has a job for life! Posting today’s blog early as don’t know
when we will get our next chance. So if anything exciting happens tonight we
will fill you in later. Just as we are posting this we have found our next 2 nights’
accommodation down the road at Gorse Farm.
