Today Jess leaves
Australia! It’s Valentine’s Day and David got me a MMM Magazine! It’s also
Malcolm’s and Johanne’s (Oz) birthdays - happy birthday to both of you. Woke to
pouring rain and treated myself to a large/long shower in Val & Malcolm’s
house as we are still on their driveway. Val came into Priscilla while I made
homemade soup which we then took into the house for lunch. Just then the doorbell
went and we heard “Parcel for Parsons” - a big cheer went up all around! Yes
our International licences had arrived. We quickly got hold of Jess before she
boarded her flight and changed her plans - she is now going to get a train from
Heathrow to Brokenhurst and we will pick her up tomorrow! This works out better
as we can travel over France to Spain together in Priscilla and she can see
David & Sheila in Bridport before she starts her 24 day 12 country Top Deck
Winter Wonderland tour of Europe on the 6th March. Very exciting as
now we can plan.
Sarah (Malcolm’s daughter
from Luton) arrived for a few days and to celebrate her Dad’s birthday. Val
cooked a birthday meal and then we played cards (Phase 10). The weather was
getting terrible and it was all over the news! Milford-on-Sea where we had
walked not 2 days ago had 25 people trapped in their sea side café! Had a great
Skype with Bec & James (glad to see Bec looking so much better now). About
midnight we all piled into the car and drove down to the sea front at
Highcliffe to watch and wonder the dramatic severity of the storm! It was
WILD!!!!!! Lots of beach huts that we had walked by the other day where all
smashed up across the beach! Got to bed about 1am but didn’t sleep a wink as
Priscilla was rocking and very deafening with the wind - it was very scary too.
