Bashley

Tuesday 11th Feb 2014

Woke up to pouring rain, what a difference from yesterday. Every time it rains now we think of the flooding it will cause. Set off from Gorse Farm and headed to Bashley our next pitch. As we drove over the New Forest the sun poked its head out and ended up staying out all day. Found where we would be staying the night and decided to make the most of day and sun by driving to Milford on Sea to have a walk. This we did on the sea front and had a bracing walk with great views of The Isle of White. They were moving huge rocks into place to try and combat the severe weather and erosion. Back at the van we had a lovely lunch and watched the waves (just as my Mum Dad and Nan had done on numerous occasions). Jo did the housework it took all of 10mins! While I supervised! Visited Elizabeth, who we had stayed with before Xmas and showed her Priscilla and had a cuppa. Went into New Milton and managed to find a bike for Jo, another near new one for £50. Back to our pitch for the night, £13, no Wi-Fi here so after dinner we did puzzles and read our books.
P.S - Dad, Bashley were playing tonight but sorry couldn't stand out there in the cold and rain!
