Said goodbye to Ron & Pat - a great catch up and some wonderful memories for David with childhood holidays here. Light rain when we got on the ferry to St Mawes but pouring by the time we got the smaller ferry to Place. Heavy rain the rest of the day! Crap! Even all the wet weather gear didn't stop us getting wet! The path was like a stream! Got to Portschatho hoping to get a B&B but nothing!!! So ended up walking to Arthur's campsite. Still raining! Got to reception and the owner looked at us and asked "would u like a mug of tea each" wonderful! Set up tent- showered and early night. Hard today but sooooo very funny when we found out from our friends Val and Malcolm that we were meeting up with them for the weekend back at Penryn!!!! Would have stayed an extra day with Ron & Pat had we have known. Such is life! So Friday morning we packed our very wet gear away and waited for a bus to Truro (2 hour wait) A couple from the campsite offered to take us back to their caravan to make us breakfast. Val & Malcolm picked us up from Truro and we drove to Penryn University summer stays where we used the laundry to sort ourselves out. Then had a wonderful weekend with them and caught up again with Gary & Debbie.
