After packing up Priscilla and saying goodbye to the great campsite of Quinta Chave Grande in Casfreires we had a quick Skype with Jess Mum & Trace. We were going to only go a short distance today but once on the road we decided to head North and to the coast near Porto (everyone has said we must go there) stocked up at Lidls then for a change we took the freeways(toll roads) and they were scenic through the mountains with vineyards clinging to the sides. Hardly any traffic. Not sure if we have done the wrong thing as some of these toll roads say "electronic toll only!" We think they check your number plates as you go past but think we should've pre paid for them somewhere!!!!?????? It is probably our fault as we are sure people have told us recently but we didn't take note!! When we stopped at a service station for fuel we fed a stray dog cat biscuits and water-bless him he was all skin and bone! Arrived in Vila Cha at a campsite on the coast 200 mts from the beach (that we will explore tomorrow) and we can also get the metro train into Porto. Glad we made the decision to come straight to the coast as it gives us an extra day before we meet our Jess !!! Only seven days to go!!!! Got Priscilla all sorted then cooked salmon and homemade garlic bread on the BBQ with runner beans garlic & leeks - washed down with a Portuguese red.
