A new phase

Sun 13th April 2014
Packed up camp and said goodbye to everyone including our German friends Bettina and Claus. As we set off for Montorroso, Almogia we went passed Malaga - it looked so huge! But we have been told we have to go there so we will add that to our lists!!!! We headed up into the hills and the hotel Puerto el Peral is about 9kms past Almogia.   We drove up the second drive and it was a struggle to get Priscilla up there, with all the loose tree debris, she kept slipping! I was running up ahead holding all the conifer branches out of the way! Hetty and Alan were very pleased to see us. We unpacked Priscilla into "our house" then walked across to the hotel courtyard to join them and 2 of their friends (they had come to help for the day) for a delicious lunch - sangria, cheeses pickles, smoked salmon, bread, fruit and coffee. David and I then had a short walk to get our bearings and went into the village of Montorroso! It consisted of 4 houses! So yes we are very isolated. It it so beautiful, peaceful and very serene. We sorted more stuff out into our house and sat in one off our outdoor areas by our pool (empty at the moment- will have to sort that out!) and had a cup of tea. Hetty and Alan and their friends then wondered over to have the grand tour of Priscilla (didn't take long!) we then all enjoyed a roast lamb, roast potatoes, and veg dinner cooked by Alan in the massive courtyard with a huge veranda all around gardens and a fountain in the middle. Back to our house and off to bed as work in the morning (we start at 10am!)
