Bonjour - Fri

Fri 19th Sept 2014

Thunderstorm at about 5am but didn't stop us going back to sleep. Nice feel to this place Sarbazan and we were on the road by 9am which is early for us. Shame we are on a time limit now to get to Jess in Munich as today we drove through so many gorgeous places we could've stayed a few days at each! After a few navigation hiccups we went through very green lush forest areas and all the colours are so autumnal. It is hard to get pictures when you are concentrating on navigating and it's not always easy to pull over on demand in a motorhome. We followed the river Le Lot and some others with many barges and canal boats. It does feel very French here! and it makes a change to see different landscapes and architecture. It was sunny and hot all day beautiful weather again - thank you. We went via Fumel then Cahors (we travelled through Cahors back in Feb!) and Figeac. We stopped at  MacDonald's (only the second one since we have been away !) to use the wifi and get a coffee. It had a great automatic ordering service which suited us with the language problem but it is very sad as it's now lost that personal interaction and communication! Now the staff don't have to talk to anyone !!!!
Arrived at Cayrols a small village that had an Aires in our book - 4 other motorhomes here and it is so well looked after with manicured lawns and pretty flowers and all for free!!! We had driven on small roads for about 7 hours so was glad to park up for the night. Had a walk around the lovely little village then had a thunderstorm (same time as the last few nights) as cooking  a great steak with brussels and shallots and gravy- was great. Early to bed as we hope to do another big drive tomorrow.
