The road to Evora - Wed

Wed 30th July 2014
Good sleep as the dogs behaved. Set off and drove through Aljustrel. Pleased when we have a big truck in front of us then we know we can get through the town/village! We are still in an Australian landscape of very dry grasslands and expect to see some kangaroos at any moment! It soon changed and we past vast fields of sunflower ,pumpkin, corn and olive trees. Headed past Alvito and towards Evora. Found the campsite 2km out of the town centre. Evora is a World Heritage Listed town and we will explore tomorrow on our bikes. Made the most of the facilities and spent the afternoon around the lovely pool. Very hot today 34°. Bit noisy about the pool as lots of really young ones but was great to watch them all having fun. Still a late dinner 9pm outside under the stars watching as campers come and go. Had a email back from UK and we don't have to go back for an MOT in Jan - so that's good news- will make life easier.
