Sanding

Fri 7th March

Started the day Skyping Jess from her Hostel in Paris. Her tour has just started and if you wish to follow her adventures too click here for her travel blog: http://theadventuresofmoon.blogspot.co.uk/ It was so lovely to see her again - technology is great (most of the time!) David and I spent the whole day in Jane’s apartment #4 - they have 7 apartments between the 2 sisters. We sanded down all the bedheads/doors and wardrobe doors which were all a dark wood varnish as they now want them all painted white and blue for #4 and white and another colour for the other apartments. It was hard work but again very rewarding. There is a lot of work that needs doing before the summer season starts and they also have a few bookings at Easter, so every little bit we do will be of some help. David also filled in holes and fixed a fridge door. In the evening we went off again to The Don Quijote Restaurant with Jane & Laura for another lovely Catalan meal. Jane ordered, as a surprise, mussels for entrée as she remembered me loving them so much 30 years ago! They were delicious. David had hake as a main and I had pollo con gambas (chicken with prawns).
