Left the beautiful Campsite Vaubarlet after fresh croissants and bread delivered to the site then got on the road and past St-Etienne and Lyon(looked huge) an onto Chambery & Albertville on a toll road - cost us 25Euro! But we certainly got along further and quicker than if we used the small roads . Stopped then in Ugine to stock up at a Carrefour before we get into Switzerland as it will be cheaper here. By now we thought we were already in Switzerland as it was very Alpiney - soooo pretty and very mountainous now. Could have stayed at an Aires here but it was on a busy road and it was still quite early so we decided to keep going but missed the next Aires so ended up in a small village (Les Houches) car park for the night. Had a walk through the village and it felt very surreal looking up at the snow covered mountains (Mount Blanc) and the Swiss looking chalets with there colourful window boxes and hanging baskets. Tomorrow we will be in Switzerland!!! Having some issues with uploading the blog!!!! So not sure if you will get to read this or see any of the great pictures!!!! Where is Jess when you need her!!!!
