Goodbye Jess hello Africa - Fri

Fri 12th Sept 2014
Leisurely packed up Priscilla (Jess re packed all her gear) and left the campsite which is the best one we have been to so far in Spain. Location, cleanliness and hospitality were all first class. Took the very narrow an windy road (as it was the only road) from Potes to Panes then picked up the Autovia (motorway) to the airport at Santander. There were lots of motorhomes going in the other direction so there must have been a boat come in . We arrived early at the airport and the public parking had a height restriction of 2.5m and we are 2.9m. So we had to drive just out of the airport to find a spot to park and have lunch. David then dropped Jess and I off at the terminal and drive around as I saw Jess check in ok and make sure her flight to London was on time. I cried a bit but great to know we will see her agin in 3 weeks time. Drove on then a little south of Santander and stopped at a supermarket to stock up (sorry Jess we got the butcher to cut us some nice steaks for us tonight hope they are better than the one you had yesterday!). We then found our way to a Golden (best) Aires (free) in our book at Cabarceno National Park - OMG! Another great spot - next to a lake - 1 min walk from the most beautiful little village and 1 min from an open air reserve full of elephants, deer and water buffalo!!!!! It looks just like Africa. I keep shaking my head in disbelief as I cannot believe the sights we are seeing! When we arrived there we 4 motorhomes and after our walk it started to fill up - not surprised. It could be a noisy night outside Priscilla and in!!!
