Back to France - Thurs

Thurs 18th Sept. 2014
Left the beautiful campsite at Zarautz in glorious sunshine and headed for France. We decided to use some toll roads today to get some km's done towards our Jess. Straight away we took a wrong exit so did a little detour! (These things are sent to test us!) we said goodbye to Spain as we crossed the boarder into France and we both agreed that we had had a wonderful time in a wonderful country. Our first stop in France was at a Pilote dealer (Priscilla's maker) to try to sort out the damage to the rear bumpers (one of which happened back when we were working at the hotel in Andaluthia and one in the car park in Covadonga ) also the wing mirror which happened all those months ago in the UK! We will try to claim on our insurance. Finding it had now to switch languages with our very limited French! It was decided it will be easier to get the parts in Northern France when we are there. Called into Lidl's to do a big shop as we hadn't been for a while and David was very pleased to get some more sticky animals to add to his collection on Priscilla's bonnet!(Jess will be very impressed). Further on we found a municipal campsite in the village of Sarbazan. We couldn't believe we are the only ones here! We had the pick of the whole site! It was so peaceful and very still. We had a short walk around the village before a meal outside as we got out the maps and planned a route across to Switzerland and onto Germany.
