Brighton - Sun

Sun16th Nov 2014
Mike and Liz decided to take us out for the day. They are thinking of buying another property and have chosen Brighton. So off we went to the train station to find out there was maintenance being done on the lines so we drove there by car instead. We spent the day walking around quaint seaside shops, lanes (quirky shop area - I got a new handbag) trendy cafés, pubs and we even walked right out to the end of the pier. We also saw The Royal Pavilion built in 1786 for King George IV. There were fun fairs, doughnut stalls, men selling cockles winkles and jellied eels! We saw some amazing cakes in a shop called choccywoccydoddle! Jess would have loved seeing them. We also walked around the area of Kemp Town which is one road back from the beach front and where they may buy somewhere. We had a lovely roast beef dinner in a gorgeous pub called Pub Du Vin. It was raining a lot for part of the day and quite cold. Drove back to Harpenden in the dark and rain. Spent the evening reminiscing over old photos.
