Woke up to a nice cuppa made by dad. Had a lovely sleep in Priscilla, slept like a log. It was a lovely sunny day today and nice and warm in the sun. Mum and dad went online and booked up the ferry for tomorrow - Portsmouth to Le Harve, so France here we come! Slow start to the morning - dad helped Malcolm with his fence that had fallen down a bit in the storms. We then drove to mudeford quay where dad proposed to mum all those years ago. Malcolm has a boat there so needed to asses the damage after the storm. It was in such a mess - boats and trailers everywhere, an upside down catamaran and lots of washed up debris. Some boats had even blown into trees! Malcolm's boat was fine luckily, it had just moved about 20 meters from where is was. As the men secured the boat down, mum val and I went for a little walk around. Just shows how bad the weather has been - there were these huge heavy concrete fence tops that had lifted off.

England has obviously been starved for a nice day because the amount of people out and about was insane! You would have thought there was an event on the amount of people out at the beach. Lots of nice dogs too for sonny to sniff. Heaps of the little beach huts had been roughed up quite badly. There were a few nice holiday homes along the prom as well and they were lovely, and luckily no damage to them.

After mudeford val dropped us off in Christchurch to have a look around. Mum and dad knew their way around quite well as they had already been there a little while ago. It was really really pretty. Lovely old ruins and big beautiful church. There was even a moat around it which was really cool - but the weather had caused it to over spill a little bit so we had to climb on fences and stuff so as to not step in the water! There was a nice little area with all these houses with spiral staircases on a canal. Saw a mini schnauzer too. I miss ruby!!! I was starving so I had a cream tea and mum and dad had a coffee. Went into a few shops - stocked up on Cadbury creme eggs for Jane in the 99p store. Not like our $2 shop in aus where things are just a range of prices but still cheap. Everything was 99p or less! Got a camping chair for me too. Walked to this old dunking stool by the river (ye olde punishment for gossipy women) and then Val came and picked us up.

Back to Priscilla to get ready for dinner - we all walked down the road to a Toby carvery - all you can eat roast. People's plates were absolutely ridiculous! The Yorkshires were huuuuge! After we had gorged ourselves we headed back and watched the baftas before saying goodbye to val (she's off to work early in the morning) and then off to bed. So we are off in the morning and then on the ferry to France overnight so not sure when we will have Internet to post the blog!

David finally doing some work!!!
