A very sad day. Pilly slept with us last night (thinks she knows we are leaving). We emptied "our house" (cannot believe how much stuff we have got!) packed up Priscilla and cleaned the house. It was very sad saying goodbye to Alan & Hetty. They have been so good to us and we have had a wonderful experience living and working at Puerto el Peral. But it is time to move on for some new adventures in some new areas. We stocked up at the Dia supermarket in Almogia then headed towards a campsite not far away. We past Antequera and found a brand new campsite called La Sierrecilla in Humilladero. Our first job was to sort Priscilla out as we have so many clothes/ stuff and all the winter and summer things were muddled up. It has been an emotional few days with David & Fiona then having to say goodbye to Alan & Hetty we feel mentally drained! So a relaxing afternoon around the pool with a new book was enjoyed. We had a long Skype with Mum Jess and Ruby - was great to talk to them. Later we went over to the campsite restaurant and had a lovely meal of prawns in garlic, salad and rosado fish with potatoes while watching World Cup football Holland vs Argentina. It is such a lovely campsite we have decided to stay another night.
Our last morning in "our house" Pilly slept over.
As we left we couldn't believe the colour changes in 12 and a half weeks. Was bright green now golden.
Stopped to fill up with fresh spring water at El Torcal
We should use these Oleanders in Australia on our median strips as they look after themselves and always look good.
Found this beautiful new campsite.
Sorting Priscilla out
Worn out - bless him
Not a bad spot for the night - was fantastic
How funny is the English translation!!!!!!!!!!!
View from the campsite restaurant - Priscilla at 11 o'clock
It was a lovely sunset
Cheers
Watched Holland vs Argentina in the bar with Spanish and French. Shame Holland lost.
