Sunny Lyme Regis

Sunday
Started the day with a long walk with Tissy & Saffy to the beach and up the coastal path hill towards Eype & Seatown - David B showed us up as he didn’t get out of breath! Drove to Gary & Sharon’s for coffee and they showed us around their lovely home where they have recently finished a very stylish  loft conversion. We then drove to Lyme Regis which is a beautiful seaside town with lots of little quaint shops, hills and coloured beach huts all along the sea front. We certainly made the most of a lovely sunny day. There were even people surfing! And people sitting on the beach in deck chairs having a picnic wearing hats, gloves and scarves! This town is where The French Lieutenant’s Woman was filmed. We had a Sunday roast lunch in The Royal Lion Pub (yes another pub!) and then drove to Louise & Heath’s in Charmouth. They have recently moved in and are slowly renovating - what they have done so far is lovely. They also have a dog! - Scooby so we have now met all the dogs in the Briggs family - 5! Home for a quiet evening after walking the 3 dogs down to the beach again. Nice to sit and catch up with the blog and relax. We have been trying to Skype the family but have been finding the time difference a bit of a problem as we are always out!!!!!! Tomorrow I am going to work in Louise’s salon for the day as they are very busy and could do with a hand - should be fun. David is going shopping with Sheila for the Turkey and Christmas trimmings.
