Thursday
Trace called from
Australia to let us know that Bec had had an operation and she was recovering. Set
off for Chelston near Taunton to view some more Motorhomes. It was sunny but
very cold and the views on the way were fantastic. We were amazed to see many fields
full of hundreds of Solar panels - this certainly shows Australia up. We
travelled through 3 counties, Dorset, Somerset and Devon and looked at many
Motorhomes but none ticked all the boxes. We had lunch in The Fox & Goose
then slowly travelled back to Bridport on small B roads (one David thought was someone’s
driveway!) What we didn’t account for was that it gets dark VERY early so it
was hard going driving in the dark around very small county lanes! We stopped
in Langport as it looked very interesting http://www.heritage-explorer.co.uk/web/he/searchdetail.aspx?id=7847&crit=masonic
. We
had a walk around and it started to SNOW!!!!!!!! I have been having problems
with my eyes (bloodshot) so have not worn my contacts for a few days so had
been wearing glasses - and guess what - I lost them! Yes, we were wet with snow
and very cold and had to retrace our steps but with no luck. I have been
navigating so need my eyes so had to drive around until we found a shop that
sold reading/magnifying glasses! Arrived home to Bridport and enjoyed homemade Cornish
pasties for dinner.
