A Walk to the Pub

Sunday
Mike & Liz have a beehive in their garden! If you were wondering what that photo was.
Went on a long walk through narrow country lanes and fields. It was a beautiful sunny day very crisp and cold. At The Elephant and Castle in Amwell we had a roast lunch £8.50 ($16) by the cosy fire. David banged this head coming through a door as the ceilings were so low (think it used to belong to a Hobbit!). A big walk in the country to a pub is what we had been hanging out to do for months and we have finally done it! Yeh.
On the way back we went through Nomansland (no mans land) Jo used to go there as a child and more memories came out. Jo had a real urgency to get to the toilet and wished she had read the book Bec had given us before we left! “How to Shit in The Woods!”

In the evening we met up with Nick in The Silver Cup in Harpenden. Jo worked with him when she was at Luton Airport as a Security Officer. I knew Nick and that is how I met Jo when they had a staff trip to the TV studios to see “The Price is Right”. Lots of tears and cuddles and lots more reminiscing! Jo kept asking “How’s so and so?” And Nick kept replying “well he’s dead and she’s dead!” I was so great to see Nick again and he looks just as handsome and well.
