Off to Bridport

Monday
Had bacon & eggs and said goodbye to Elizabeth. We then hand delivered some Christmas cards from Australia and knocked on Georgie & Charlies door (old neighbours of David’s parents in their 90’s but doing well). We have felt very proud of John and Margaret as everyone we have met that knows them say how wonderful they are and how much they are missed. Hopefully we can follow in their footsteps! Left New Milton and called into Hinton Park which is where David’s Nana & Grandad are buried. It was a lovely forest location and we both had some more tears. Headed towards Bridport and stopped in Poole to look at some Motorhomes. Found a perfect one but a phone call to Clive (our personal advisor) changed our mind as he said to steer clear of Diesel heating - but we will look into that. Went in Tesco for lunch and used the free Wi-Fi. It had rained most of today but as we approached Bridport it stopped. Was so great to see David & Sheila again (I worked for them when Hairdressing years ago and we have remained friends ever since). They have 3 gorgeous dogs - Tizzy, Safron and Ella (rescued from Cyprus). Had a lovely meal and plenty of wine then Louise (their daughter) and husband Heath and daughter Molly (forgot to get pics-will later) arrived. Louise was 16 when we left and is 42 now and had not changed a bit. David & Sheila then gave us a gift, we were worried as we are very limited as to what we will be able to carry in our Motorhome (when we get it) but it was fantastic - a large basket full of goodies to use in the Motorhome.
