Got picked up at 10.30am outside the campsite by Wim The Dutch friends we had met on Thursday night. Together with his wife Gina and their visitors from Holland Tiny & Funs we driven to Lamas to the local Saturday market. They have lived here for 15 years and can speak Portuguese and as they are friendly bubbly people you can tell there is a genuine friendship with all the locals. Wondered around the big market and got some local cheese/meat and a genuine Lacoste t/shirt and Nike shoes!!!!!! Also a Portuguese beach towel! We will have to get a Spanish one when we get back there next week. We then enjoyed the experience of a huge outdoor BBQ lunch of the traditional Peri Peri chicken with all the locals (they loved the fact that we were there all the way from Australia!) we were then driven back to Priscilla via Wim & Ginas beautiful home for a coffee and a tour around. They would like to sell the house for 375,000 euro great price (let us know if anyone is interested) 3 stories of very well built home including all the furniture - with views to die for. They made us feel so welcome and it's a shame we cannot stay here longer. We hope that we see both couples one day in Australia. Days like today it what travelling is all about.
We have met so many lovely people had had so many great experiences.
Watched the movie Gangster Squad - loved it.
