Said our farewells to Linda and Ian (David's cousin) I am sure we will see them in Australia soon. Ian gave me some holly with lots of berries on, which means lots of snow soon!!! Drove through Dartmoor - which we love. Although it was very bleak it is still beautiful. Arrived at Mill End Hotel Chagford in Devon and it again felt like we had never left! Parked Priscilla up in the car park then met Alison and we were very pleased that she needed some bits out of Priscilla. We loaded her car up with all sorts then fed her Kune Kune pigs who have all the food waste from the Hotel, they were gorgeous. Off we went into Chagford to The Birdcage and had the best coffee and full English breakfast ever. We then drove back to Ali's new flat in Okehampton via her sisters old estate Shilstone and The Spinsters Rock. Ali is very happy in her new place and her Dad has decorated it all for her. We reminisced most of the evening and she dug old loads of old photos! We bought loads of yummy food from Waitrose and eat all evening!!!! Slept in Ali's flat so last night in Plymouth was out last night in Priscilla!!!!!!!

Buckland Abbey - sun
Sun 9th Nov 2014
After breakfast and a great skype with David's parents, Linda & Ian drove us onto The Moors and to Buckland Abbey which Queen Elizabeth1 gave to Sir Francis Drake as a thank you for defeating the Spanish Armada. We had a great 6mile walk around the estate. It was so pretty and colourful but very wet under foot. We enjoyed coffee and scones before we went in the house which had Drakes Drum and even an original Rembrandt in it! We were lucky again as the sun was shinning. Back at Linda and Ian's we had a lazy afternoon then enjoyed a lovely roast chicken dinner. Off to Chagford Devon tomorrow to say bye to Alison.

Off to Plymouth - Sat
Sat 8th Nov 2014
Said our goodbyes to David B before he left for work then Pam and Russ (Sheila's sister) came around to say goodbye and we gave them a few bits out of Priscilla as they have a motorhome. Said our farewells (and left for Plymouth. Roads were ok but terrible weather. Arrived safely at Linda and Ian's. It was strange coming again after 12 months and it actually felt like we hadn't been away! We had a walk with Ian down to the beautiful village of Tamerton Foliot and had a pint of Devon Dumpling ale - it was delicious and very strong!!!! Walked back and met their son Adams girlfriend Steph. Ian and Linda cooked us a great meal with lots of alcohol (of course!) we chatted about our adventures and about their recent ones. Watched the great movie The best exotic Marigold Hotel before retiring to Priscilla parked out the front.

Westbay to Charmouth walk- Fri
Fri 7th Nov 2014
Set off today on a great walk. We walked about 13kms along part of the South West Coastal Path from Westbay to Charmouth. Parts of the walk was very challenging! It was all up and down and very muddy. We got caught in a couple of rain showers but apart from that it was just windy and clear, sunny but cold. After 3 and a bit hours of non stop hiking we arrived at Louise's Salon in Charmouth. After a few much needed glasses of water then a coffee I got my hair washed then blow dried it myself (as only I can do it!) we waited while David Briggs finished work and drove us back. Had to say goodbye to gorgeous Louise again. Had another lovely meal Sheila had cooked (Toad in the Hole) with friends of theirs Tracey and Matt.
Looks if chatting and not looking forward to saying goodbye in the morning as off to Plymouth.
