After the breakfast sitting this French girl (who lives here in Spain) played the piano - she was very good.

Housekeeping duties

David in the basement sorting out tools and stuff. We had lunch on the terrace with Alan & Hetty and spent the rest of the day getting Priscilla ready for our trip to Granada tomorrow.

Alan is a bit OCD!!!!! with his knives! He must have them in order and facing the right way - I keep moving them all!!!!!

Tea and chocolate

Had a good evening in the courtyard with Alan & Hetty-lovely balmy evening. We played a dice game called Full House - was fun. Off to Granada in the morning - will be nice to have a change but with miss Alan & Hetty - hope they can cope without us!!!! Ha Ha

Day 50 - Hotel Monday

Monday 2nd June 2014
Washing & folding - a woman's work is never done!

David started to repair the sun shade on the roof of "our" terrace

Had a really long and lovely Skype with Mum Jess Trace Rog & Ruby.

Part of the courtyard

David and Alan went off to get some sand to top dress the lawns and also to order some poles for David's next job making the linen cover's for the Terrace. David & Alan will start that job after we have been to Granada (leaving on Wednesday). I relaxed around "our pool" then cleaned it and swept up all the pine needles (we are surrounded by them) and I did all this NAKED!!!!!!!!!!! Because I can! No one around for miles.

Another lazy evening - watched another movie - The Promised Land - not bad. Poor Alan had to wait up until the guests came back  - they didn't show up until 2.15am!

Day. 48 Hotel- Saturday - Malaga

Sat 31st May 2014

Judy & Andy had a lunchtime flight back to Glasgow and as we had no guests arriving until Sunday Alan suggested that we take them to Malaga Airport, that way the four of us could have a day out. Alan's car can hold 7 people by the way (handy).
Saying goodbye at Malaga Airport and of course we have another invite - so maybe Glasgow see you soon!!!

Great shop - Zara. They have them all over the world but not in Australia. There is also a Zara Home. We were very good and did not buy anything.

We drove along the front of Malaga to the old part of town, David & I are very surprised with Malaga itself as it is not touristy at all.

The market for the locals next to the beach.

I got new knickers - 1 euro a pair and a new bra 3 euros!

David & Alan got a bit fed up as Hetty & I kept stopping at every stall!

As it was the weekend and a very hot day the beaches were full - all Spanish with their families.

We stopped at one of the many beach side cafes and enjoyed different fish dishes and a few beers.

Calamari Squid Octopus and yes would you believe it Anchovies (they were not salted but fried and were delicious) you would have loved them all Mum!!!!!!!!!

We sat there for a long time enjoying watching the world go by.

As we walked back into town we came across a bride so we decided to follow.

We followed her to a beautiful church and it was a Spanish bride marrying an English man.

We went in another nice shop clled DayaDay and Hetty & Alan bought me this beautiful necklace.

We went in the oldest cafe/bar/restaurant in Malaga called El Pimpi

In El Pimpi on the walls were many photographs of famous people and signatures on these wine barrels. We then drove home and watched the movie The Butler - very good.

Day 49 - Hotel Sunday

Sunday 1st June 2014

Had a day off today and had a huge sleep in and read our books. It was raining first thing with thunder and lightening. Friends of Alan & Hetty's came for coffee then the new guests arrived (a french couple and the mother - Their daughter lives here with her partner about 40mins walk from here in a "ruin" and are doing it up).

Coffee with Pilly

Another storm rolling in. Love this photo with all the different colours.

The storm came to nothing really but had a bit of rain which was much needed. Beans on toast for dinner - yummy followed by another movie - Out of The Furnace - very good.

Day 47 Hotel Fri

Fri 30th May 2014

In the kitchen doing breakfast.

Checking the pool

Me checking on what David was up to.

Time to cut all the lawns again.

Joined the guests for lunch in the courtyard.

G & T's in the courtyard

Gambas (prawns) delicious

We joined the guests again for dinner. Steak in a beautiful sauce with french potatoes and runner beans. This went down very well with Judy & Andy because at home they eat takeaways mainly and they love the basic food. Andy kept saying it was like staying at a Health Resort!
